Windows Mobile e-mail for small business

Alternative Text

Red Rock ICT can offer businesses a choice of email solutions from BlackBerry and Windows Mobile. Windows Mobile offers a range of email solutions supporting web based and Internet Service Provider (ISP) email accounts. This means you can access Windows Live Hotmail, Gmail™, Yahoo!®, AOL®, Comcast®, custom domains, and more. These solutions will allow easy set up and access to e-mail and attachments in their original format, and organize e-mail into folders like you're used to doing on your PC.

Enterprise-class solutions
Companies have three options for moving up to Exchange mobile messaging:
-Hosted Exchange
-Small Business Server
-On-premises Exchange Server.

Hosted Exchange solution provides you with all the operational benefits of a business-class messaging system, but none of the responsibility for running it, since you partner with a Hosted Exchange provider who manages administration on a “pay as you go” subscription basis.

Small Business Server (SBS) is a bundle of Microsoft technologies including Windows Server, SharePoint Portal Server, and Exchange Server. SBS is designed to meet the networking and messaging needs of small to medium-sized companies including file and printer sharing; security management; access to data when away from the office; and a full-featured Exchange Server messaging system that extends to Windows Mobile phones.

On-premises Exchange Server is a stand-alone single or distributed server solution that delivers a complete messaging solution, including mobile messaging.

Direct Push Technology requires either Windows Mobile 5.0 with the Messaging and Security Feature Pack (MSFP) or Windows Mobile 6, connected with either Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2 or later or Exchange Server 2007.

All above options assume a data plan. Red Rock ICT would be happy to discuss your requirements and the options available to you with your choice of Network provider.
